Learning with all senses - The Nature Park Schools in the Leiser Berge

The thirteen Lower Austrian nature park schools - three of which are located in the Leiser Berge Nature Park - offer pupils the opportunity to experience, understand and explore nature with all their senses.

The children of the Nature Park schools get to know the nature of their homeland better at a young age. Together with the schools, various projects and hiking days have already been implemented. For example, most recently in November 2019, 70 young juniper plants were planted in our nature park together with the children of the Ernstbrunn and Gnadendorf elementary schools. The children were professionally supported by well-equipped, partly volunteer helpers.

The basis of the cooperation is a regular exchange between the Nature Park staff and the teachers at the schools. Future projects and joint activities are planned and implemented. The children are the focus of the cooperation. They learn that it is important to protect our valuable and special nature. In addition, the joy of working with nature is made tangible! The cooperation between school and nature park is a permanent and exciting development.
