Gasthaus Achter can be found exactly where a traditional inn should be: on the village square. In the middle of the tranquil village of Michelstetten, landlord Rudolf Achter is the third generation of his family to serve up traditional inn cuisine. With everything that goes with it. Down-to-earth and with a regional focus, the inn pursues its own culinary craft. There is a conscious decision not to serve toque-awarded cuisine with a little foam - instead, a lot of hospitality, popular tavern classics and large portions are served. The onion roast with roast potatoes is particularly popular. The roast pork lung with chips, vegetables and herb butter also meets the expectations of locals and day-trippers alike.

Landlord Rudolf Achter runs his own butcher's shop alongside the inn, which is highly regarded in the region. It goes without saying: Pork, beef and chicken are professionally processed, go straight into the inn's kitchen and find a successful finish on the guest's plate. The distinctive bar and dining room are characteristic of the Gasthof Achter. Two generously designed banqueting rooms are often booked for exclusive events. The pride of the house is the newly designed terrace, which offers guests a view of the park and historic village square. Thanks to its proximity to the Leiser Berge Nature Park, the inn is a great place for hikers to take a break.
