Large pasque flower

Pulsatilla grandis

The pasque flower is one of the best-known plants in the Leiser Berge Nature Park. With its bright purple flowers, it is one of the first signs of spring on the dry grasslands – and at the same time a symbol of the nature park’s unique landscape.

As a species that has become rare, it represents those specialised plants that have adapted to barren, sunny habitats. Its beauty and significance are also reflected in the nature park’s logo.
